Q. “A systematic bias results from errors in the sampling procedures”. What do you mean by such a systematic bias? Describe the important causes responsible for such a bias.
Answer:-
1) Systematic error wherein results from sample differ Significantly in the results from entire population. It follows logic that if sample is not representative * entire population, the results from it will most likely differ from results taken from entire population
2) At best causes responsible for these errors can be detected I corrected
i) Inappropriate sampling frame-if sampling frame is inappropriate
ii) Defective measuring device if meaning in error, it will result in systematic bias.
iii) Non-respondents if we are unable sample all individual initially included in the sample there may arise a systematic bias.
iv) Interdependence principle: Sometime we find individuals art, differently When kept under observation than what they do when kept in non obsessed Distortion
v) Natural bias - natural bias of respondent in Reporting of data is often the cause of a systematic bias in many enquiries.
